There's no way of changing the name of the item in the vending machine sadly as that is done so client side.

This is a tough one, I'm still looking into the cause.

While raising awareness is a step forward, this isn't something we'd be willing to enforce. In regards to performance impact, the more simple a circuit is, the less impact it has.
