  1. It would be nice to see an additional icon or notification used to help players distinguish between public and personal helis. It's announced in global chat – but that tends to scroll off the screen in no time.

  4. Totally get that @souptime_365 . Your post isn't "bitch mode" you are voicing valid concerns that are not going unnoticed. I've stayed in this community for as long as I have because this stuff gets handled. When I first started playing here RustEZ was 3 servers and a community a fraction of the size it was last wipe. Many things are amplified because of server instability issues we have with the higher pop servers right now. Death will continue to work on these problems and will roll out fixes, upgrades and whatever is necessary to smooth this out for this wipe and provide a better experience in the future. Player behavior issues are also frustrating for admins. We need the community to report problem players so they can be dealt with. Unfortunately, problem players are not limited to the standard community member role. Over nine servers, I am just as likely to see a VIP or Subscriber reported for stealing loot, monument camping, bullying, disrespect, or generally just being a toxic asshat in chat as I am any member of the community. When players have been around for a while they know how to toe the line, skirt rules, and how to avoid detection. I'm not saying your idea is a bad one – I just want to point out that a player doesn't change their behavior simply because they choose to spend $5 on a subscriber role. Thank you for sticking with us while we get it together and for taking time to voice your concerns about the community. We know this wipe is a tough go for players and staff. If your usual server is just not an enjoyable experience for you right now, try one of the lower pop EU or AU servers, while we get our shit together on the other high pop servers (and we will).   6. We should not have to "warn" people that racism is wrong and not acceptable. Racism in any space where our PvE community participates is not tolerated. Rules are clearly displayed to every person who joins our community of servers. Your ban will not be lifted.
  7. That's the point of making sure you report it to admins. Admin have tools that allow us to see combat logs for server events. When a player reports it, if we're not online to see it ourselves we can go back through the logs to get a good understanding of what that player has been doing. If it's an issue, we'll either have a chat with said player in game, issue a warning on their account or take other action as required. If you report a player, an admin will typically follow up with you to let you know they took action. Report it. Hope that helps!

  11. It's important to make admins aware of these players and their actions; otherwise, said player will potentially continue the behavior, without repercussion. If a player takes all the loot /doesn't share when multiple players participate, report them. If you believe a player is camping brad spawns – report them. If you are not comfortable with reporting a player breaking the rules in our #help channel in Discord (example message: "@(US)Survival PlayerName is not sharing the brad loot and taking it all") then you can message the head admin from your server via the Staff page. You can also send a private report via the Help page.

    Some Bugs

    The NPC garrison and some server events were temporarily disabled while we focused on server performance to manage the influx of new players to our community this wipe. This event is enabled for the time being. For issues like the planter, the best way to notify us of a server bug is to use the Bug Report section of the website. I see this bug has already been reported – you can follow the thread to receive notification when the issue is resolved. Hope this helps!

Custom monuments and changes to loot are not out of the question, as some of these things were in the works/planned, but is on hold for now as the focus has shifted to balancing server performance and hardware upgrades as we deal with the influx of new players this wipe. In the meantime we have recently updated the website FAQ to include helpful information on common questions about calling dibs, loot camping and hogging monuments. If you encounter an issue with loot/monument camping, please let an admin from your server know about it! You can ping an online admin in game chat, post in #help on Discord (tag the server -- valid tags are pinned in this channel) or send an admin from your server a message via the staff page.
  14. Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback. The big changes this wipe for the community is the increased player number on a few of our servers and the inactive purge time is decreased to 5 days to help offset this. Bases build by players who log in to try Rust and not return to our servers will have a short life on our servers this wipe. Things like VIP drops and store purchases haven't changed (with the exception that some store items were unavailable for a short period of time). We get that the higher influx of players can be difficult for some players. If you're not a fan of the queue and server population, consider trying one of the lower pop EU or AU servers. There's no context in which using both in-game global chat and voice chat to individually call out multiple players in our community by name to tell them to go kill themselves irl is considered a joke. The players you directed this at -- and other players on the server during this time were not laughing with you, they were reporting you. This level of player disrespect and toxicity is not acceptable in our community. I have reviewed your player log and chat history along with your own ban appeal (the first post in this thread). The ban will remain in place.

  23. Yep, I agree it is annoying if you aren't familiar with the system. While it doesn't help you in this case as you already made the purchase, often in-game craftable items are re-released with the respective holiday updates each year. If close to the time, it's always worth waiting to see if they appear in the Rust store and saving the marketplace purchase on these types of items until well after the holidays when you don't want to wait months to get it in-game.
