  1. No, the level on your quarry will not be reset if you decide to move it (Survival servers only).
  2. Steam has hundreds of servers that form it's authentication system and outages could vary based on region and location. This is why only a few players can be affected at once. Try restarting Steam. If that doesn't work give it 10 minutes before trying to reconnect to avoid a temporary EAC ban.
  3. Public monuments (such as Oil Rigs or Military Tunnels) and server events (including the Attack Helicopter or Bradley APC) are shared, server-wide activities that take place in public spaces and are not intended to be solo content. If other players choose to participate, there is nothing you can do to prevent it — they’re there to have fun just like you. Playing on a community server means sharing content, and compromise is part of the experience.
  4. You can check the status of any of our servers on our connect page. You'll see a bar under each banner with 1 of 3 colors. Green(Online), Orange(Restarting), Red(Offline). In the event of a crash, the server will automatically attempt to correct the issue and restart itself within 10 minutes. Although rare, sometimes it's unable to do so which then a technician will intervene to correct the issue manually. Chances are, if the server you're trying to connect to is rejecting your connection, it's likely undergoing maintenance. Maintenance typically lasts about 5 minutes and happens a couple times a week, typically on Mondays and Thursdays. If the server shows online and you're unable to connect there could be ongoing Steam issues or your local network connection is experiencing issues. You can check the status of Steam at https://steamstat.us/ If you see “update required,” the Rust client or server may be on a different version. Rust updates often require servers to restart and update before players can reconnect. Check the Connect page and Discord announcements first. If only one RustEZ server appears offline or you still cannot connect after updating Rust, submit a report with the server name, region, and exact error message. Join our Discord to keep up to date on outages and maintenance.
  5. If a player is offline for more than 10 days, a system is deployed that checks all of their placed building components. If either component is attached to a foundation containing a tool cupboard, it will check the authorized list for active players. If there is at least 1 active player the system is disposed and nothing happens. If there aren't any active players, everything by that player is removed.
  6. On our modded servers, type /skin in chat to open the skin shop menu. Click one of your items in the top right and select any skin shown to use (This also includes nearby). On our vanilla servers, you can apply any owned skin (from your steam inventory) to an item using a Repair Bench.
  7. You can remove default controls from the settings menu, or clear custom keybinds from the console. Remove default controls Press ESC. Open Options. Select Controls. Click the key you want to clear. Remove a custom keybind Clear a bind directly from the console. bind <key> "" Example: bind b "" Note: This only removes the bind from that key. It does not reset your other controls.
  8. Servers labeled “No Decay” in the title and description have decay fully disabled (view server list). Bases never require upkeep, so you can build without worrying about tool cupboard resources. However, after 10 days of inactivity, we remove all entities belonging to players who haven’t logged in — unless an active player is authorized on the cupboard.
  9. You can bind chat commands to a key so you do not have to type them every time. Bind a chat command Run server commands with one key press. Press F1 to open the console. Paste a bind command and press Enter. bind <key> chat.say /command Example: bind b chat.say /home Note: Binds are saved on your PC and only need to be set once.
  10. Typically, servers update around 2 PM EST / 17:50 PM GMT / 18:50 BST on the first Thursday of each month. Unfortunately, we're at the mercy of Facepunch to release their updates within the scope they give us. You can follow #announcements in our Discord to track wipe day progress and to receive a notification when our servers have updated.
  11. On our modded servers, open the container you wish to make public and click the "Share Container" button located at the bottom left of the container's loot panel. To remove public access, open the previously shared container and click the "Unshare" button. On our vanilla and PvP servers, place the item in an unsecured way (i.e. no locks, placed outside your secured area) if you wish to allow public access.

  18. Credits, also referred to as net worth, are the main economy value used on modded. They represent your overall spending power and are used across different in-game features, services, and systems. You can track income, spending, and item trends on the server/region tabs at the top of the Economy Dashboard page.
  19. You can earn credits on modded through several gameplay activities, including selling items to the black market, killing NPCs, completing challenges, and receiving welfare while you are online. Welfare is earned passively as you play, while other credit sources depend on what you do in-game. The more you participate in activities, loot, fight, sell, and progress, the more opportunities you have to build your net worth.

  24. Use the bug tracker for reproducible issues such as broken commands, plugin errors, or anything that affects multiple players. Use a help ticket instead if the issue requires staff to fix your account, restore a purchase, move an item, or review another player.
  25. Have an idea or suggestion to improve our servers? We’d love to hear it! You can post your suggestions here, where the community and staff can review, discuss, and vote on them.
