  5. Apologies for the delay, the issue was with an update I released last night that removes decay from physical containers to reduce hook calls (performance.) The hook used to clean up the decay component was not firing on server startup which cased the physical entity that makes up the backpack to decay. I've released an update that addresses this and will work on restoring data once I deem the current version stable.

  8. Performance First off, I'd like to apologize for the awful performance this month. There were issues with the latest Unity version that required Facepunch to disable incremental garbage collection for Linux machines. Because of this, garbage collection runs more frequently and processes more data than it should. This is causing the intermittent lag spikes and rubber banding. We've exhausted our efforts in trying to bandaid this issue to no avail. Facepunch already has a fix but we'll likely not see it implemented until next forced wipe on May 7th. Horses We've doubled the horse population in an attempt to quell horse hoarding. It's not currently possible, but we plan to increase dung production by default to help this going forward. Water Catchers Although this does not effect the server in terms of performance, we've doubled water production for all catchers to help keep the clutter down. This applies to all catchers regardless of when they were placed. Quarries We've identified issues with quarries output harboring invisible stacks. If your quarry seems to not be producing a specific resource, or not at all, use loot all, if available on your server, to reveal said stacks. A fix will be implemented very soon. My Activity I apologize for my recent activity and tentativeness to bug reports these last few days. I shifted some of my attention to the public development scene to supplement income due to the current economical crisis. I've also been working hugely in the background to improve core features and functionality that I plan to start rolling out very soon, within the next month or two.

  20. 1) No, but their dung protection will be increased. 2) Yes 3) Way too many as far as players using them or them being spawned in the wild? 4) No, the lag is from garbage collection which will be fixed next wipe. We did change inactive time from 14 days to 10 days which will greatly help to clean up abandoned bases.
  21. We've not done anything to limit or disable any vending machines in the game. The issue was only just reported to our bug tracker 5 hours ago. It's very important that all issues are posted there. Something that isn't working as intended, or is unusual, constitutes a bug report. My time has been very limited the past few days as I'm working on the side to make up for lost wages due to my layoff. I will be getting back into the swings of things and knocking out these issues asap. I will post an announcement shortly explaining changes and the situation with the lag spikes.

  23. There's a lot of internal discussion in the background to resolve this issue. With recent server performance issues this month, my focus has been taken away from micro mechanics. Everything will be in full swing next wipe, unless a patch comes out sooner, until then my main priority is keeping servers stable until the update.
