  1. @Corcustos 1) The TP system is for friends so why would you TP someone into your base in the first place? That will not change. Using this system outside of teleporting friends is technically abuse. I will not cater to making it easier. 2) Trading would not exist without the implementation of the trading plugin. Waiting for a cooldown beats not having it all. Scourge is not meant to be easy which is why these changes are coming to rebalance the economy.
  2. @Corcustos 1) The friend requirement for friend TP is to prevent abuse by spamming requests. Also, I stand against "give everyone access to your stuff" because it just doesn't make sense to WANT everyone to have access to your stuff. The system we have now will likely never change. 2) The trade cooldown as-is is too short and will eventually be increased. The idea isn't to create an inconvenience, since -- after all, it's in of itself a convenient feature. The cooldown, however, is designed to limit the use (obviously) and prevent abuse. This isn't intended for players to trade out of their base non-stop. That's what shops are for.

  5. The idea of using decay is to allow players to be confident their base will be intact if going away for several days. Two weeks inactive purge on top of decay is a bit too much. The entity count is at its worse after the 3-week mark so this should greatly improve client performance late into a wipe, especially if the month of the wipe is greater than 5 weeks.
  6. We'll be making changes to accommodate our ever-expanding community to improve overall server performance and most importantly, the player's experience. We'll be making these changes slowly over the course of several months to prevent new issues from developing during these transitions. This Wipe 1) Map size will be increased from 4,000 to 4,500 to help spread entities and provide more plots later into wipes. 2) The cooldown on homes will be increased from 5 minutes to 30 minutes in hopes to prevent players from wiping out monuments. 3) Loot room camping will no longer be tolerated. Anyone found sleeping in loot rooms will be moved out accordingly This goes for loot spawns at monuments as well. 4) Upkeep cost will be increased from 25% to 30% to further prevent massive structures and provide a better resource economy. 5) Players who do not log in for longer than 3 weeks will become marked as inactive and purged to free up server and client resources that can be utilized by active players Hundreds of commits have been made this month to improve both client and server performance, maximize data storage efficiency, and allow our server to handle more players at any given time. This wipe we'll focus on balancing loot tables, stack sizes and everything in between to provide the best experience and performance possible.   9. We're aware of the client performance issues due to the entity count. We will try our best to avoid doing inactive decay as we do on our other servers. We will be making changes as of next wipe that should help such as higher upkeep cost and a larger map to help spread entities. In the future, I plan to develop an incremental upkeep system that will get more expensive the longer a base is inactive. Even if the player is not inactive, bases that are not visited for a long period of time will decay faster and use more resources to upkeep. This system will be pretty intensive so it'll be unlikely to be seen any time soon until I get everything else as optimized as possible.
  10. Based on the base lighting you're either playing on Pure PvE or Casual PvPvE which is vanilla gameplay. We do have servers with no fuel consumption for lights that you can leave on without having to refuel or even fuel it for it to toggle on. These servers include Survival and Scourge PvE. Barricades placed out in the open are against the rules and should be removed by an admin. The map is rather large so we're not able to cover everything alone. If you find any simply report it to us and we'll remove it.

  12. The /remove command has no functionality anymore. Simply just equip a salvaged hammer and go to town.

  14. Loot tables are what has been pre-bundled by facepunch. I'll have a look just to make sure something didn't fall off its rocker.

    @Killerluigi91 Recyclers are no longer permanent but there are a few exceptions 1) If you purchased one prior to the price change (about 3 months ago) you can request a full refund into account credit 2) If you purchased a week prior to wipe Let me know if you meet the criteria and I'll get you set up!

An update for all of those who have recently applied We're a tad backlogged as we work to reorganize our team internally, as well as, improve the entire process of recruitment and training to open the door for brighter opportunity. Much time has been invested in redeveloping our training process to take the burden away from having to wait until a senior or head admin is freed up to train.   18. A little backlogged so it may take me some time to give out rewards. Keep these awesome skins coming!

Recently we've been battling some pretty serious issues from prefab errors, RPC disconnects and some entities not allowing interactions so today I spent the majority of my morning going through all the errors and destroying any entity that returned the wrong prefab ID. Because of this, all recyclers, pumpjacks, cave lifts, and puzzle switches/doors have been removed. I went around and manually respawned most, if not all, monument recyclers and pumpjacks while also adding them to monuments where they do not belong to help out noobs. If there are any missing or in the wrong location let me know so I can address it. Also, if you come across a cave exit with no lift let me know so I can respawn it. Bandit town shops are now fixed, recyclers are once again interactable as well as industrial doors. I am not concerned with the remaining prefab errors as it'd cause more harm than good trying to resolve. Everything is in working and stable condition as we slowly limb to wipe day.
