Just to provide a bit more info --  you need to have the materials in the TC prior to the damage taking place. If you add materials after patrol heli beats on it, for example, the base will not auto-repair. 

On servers with decay, it will use available resources to repair, which reduces your stocked mats in the TC and ultimately decreases the amount time until decay starts.

A quick note – on or around the 15th of each month an event will be created in the RustEZ Discord for the next monthly wipe. I've been in the RustEZ community for 3+ years. Donated every wipe that I played, subscribed when I could afford it. The servers are well maintained (absolute delight to play on) and the experience for newcomers is typically amazing thanks to the friendliness of the player base. This is not what anyone playing on EZ servers should be experiencing and it's one of the reasons why we have a team on staff to review issues and situations that fall outside of the usual day-to-day server rule issues.

Sharla is one of the kindest, friendliest, and most helpful people I have ever met in my entire life, in and out of Rust. Her caring and selfless nature, paired with a good sense of humour, is absolutely magnetizing. She has dedicated an incredible amount of her own time, both in Rust and in Discord, to helping other players with the game, with electricity, and even with real-life issues. 

When she is in-game, she is always willing at a moment’s notice to drop absolutely EVERYTHING to try to help a player, be it with a tricky electrical solution, or just to help someone that needs it. She will donate selflessly her time, materials, and items whenever someone asks or needs it. She is also very supportive and fun— always willing to check out player’s builds and projects.

A very personal story of her impact is one night, when I was having an incredibly difficult time in my real life, she picked up on it, and took such good care of me. I had wandered to her base, confused, drunk, and with an empty inventory, and she clothed and fed me, and distracted me for a few hours with random shenanigans to cheer me up. I am so very thankful for what she did for me that night.

She is an incredibly busy person due to her job, so while she might not play much anymore, she is still often active in Discord, helping players whenever she can. I have seen her there, time after time, walking players through electricity. I have seen her dedicate hours of time to helping random strangers figure out technical computer issues. Her loving nature is so very special and I consider myself blessed to have met this unique and generous individual.

While we do understand that this language permeates music, comedy, movies, and other media, it is something we do not feel is appropriate to have in our servers.

Pejorative terms and derogatory words such as what were used on your account, are not welcome in any context. This includes in global chat, on signs, and written on notes or sleeping bags.

Get your build hammers out and reindeer antlers on! RustEZ is hosting a Rustmas Cozy Cottage Build Contest for players on all RustEZ servers. Build an original holiday-themed place and enter to win RustEZ store credits for next wipe!

Build Requirements

The Rustmas Cozy Cottage build must be:

• "Cottage" build size consisting of a maximum of 20 foundations. You may also include a ground-level attached deck area (up to 10 foundations, not enclosed) and use the ground space around your build for Rustmas decorations.
• Use at least 5 different Rustmas holiday items in the build.
• Be in the snow biome (OR) use at least one snow machine in other biomes.

How to Enter

Enter one of your holiday builds that meet the requirements above. Reply to this forum thread and provide the following details by midnight EST (5 am GMT) Sunday, December 26, 2021:

• Your in-game name (note if you're an admin)
• The server your Rustmas build entry is on (i.e. AU-Survival, EU-Pure, US-Scourge and so on)
• The map grid ID location of the build
• Max 2 screenshots: One showing the front of the build and one interior screenshot. 

Prizes

Our tour event will take place December 27 & 28. Gather in Discord as we server hop to check out the Rustmas builds on all 9 RustEZ Servers. During the event, you will have a chance to win prizes including Steam keys and EZ Store Credits by joining us in Discord and on the servers.

That's right; the one wipe of the whole year where those annoying stocking you unwrap in large presents will not be completely useless. Remember to hang them on the wall and not a fireplace so Red Scientist can fill them when the Rustmas event rolls out later this wipe.

Speaking of Red Scientist and gifts, we have a few changes rolling out this wipe...

Smaller Map Size

You may have noticed that map size is slightly decreased this wipe. We've decided to run 4k maps this month instead of the usual 4.5k. This is a 12.5% decrease in map size that we hope to greatly improve client and server performance. To offset this, the chosen maps have the maximum buildable area possible for its size. 

What does this mean for players? As always, be kind and courteous to others and don't build what you don't plan to use, especially on our high pop servers.

Tool Cupboard Radius Buff

The default radius of the tool cupboard is now doubled, providing  an instant "friendly neighbor buffer" to help players spread out. This change eliminates the need for players to place additional TC shacks around bases as a buffer. 

Changes to Inactive Purge

Inactive purge is an important part of our backend process to clean up clutter mid-wipe. We know that that losing everything you've earned if you are unable to log in once every 7 days is frustrating, so we've completely overhauled the system.

Starting later this wipe, inactive purge will take place in stages. For example, your electricity and circuits will be disabled and we will repo your vehicles and so on until he purge system completes the cycle, after 10 days of inactivity.

• 4 Days:  Pumpjack, quarries and furnaces are deactivated
• 5 Days: Electricity and all circuits disabled + water pumps and plumbing
• 6 Days: All entities outside of your cupboard range is removed (excluding those inside an authorized cupboard range)
• 7 Days: All vehicles are removed, regardless if on lift or not
• 10 Days: All entities are removed besides the ones inside the radius of an active TC

As always, we'll monitor these changes to see how they impact players experience and gameplay and adjust as needed!

"Define wipe" ran on all the servers for years – it was removed earlier this year because people were using it to spam chat. Wipe is not the same date & time for all the regions we have servers, so the define was a bit lengthier than most and perfect for trolls to spam global chat (we can't have nice things).  

Will see if @Death can do a replacement of sorts for this though. Thanks for the feedback!
