This is something out of the scope of work we do. I've done a lot of flying but don't think this is really an issue. If you provide more information I can pass this off to FacePunch devs.

Would be a parenting issue within the game. I could provide a temp fix but I'm pretty sure this was a freak accident. Either way, sounded like a good time to me.

Is this only happening on our server? I'm not able to reproduce this. If you could please provide more information it will help me isolate the issue. I'd also recommend reinstalling if it's client related.

This is a game bug and has been reported to FacePunch. You can fix this for now by changing the brush type every time you edit a new sign.
