Are there clear cut rules for car vendors posted anywhere? I feel like these issues could be caught easier if everyone knew what the rules were. I’ve heard varying conflicting rules over the past few wipes

Not clearly posted anywhere but it was said in this thread, 10.

    https://rustez.com/forums/topic/4145-car-limit-2-or-3-per-team

"It's not OK to hoard world spawn items and prevent others from enjoying this aspect of the game.  if we see someone stockpiling cars, we'll remove the vehicles from their base (leaving an appropriate number for the player or team) to allow the cars to respawn in the wild.

Car dealerships are a pretty big part of the player economy. We're using 10 as a guideline for shops and only if players automate it to ensure the vehicles can be purchased when the shop owner is offline. This also may change as we look at how many vehicles are spawning and the impact it has on gameplay and how many players are setting up this kind of shop on a specific server."

im trying to power everyone on the map that wants it lol. it's just a hobby thing/ something to do to be honest and everyone gets like 200 free power each woot!
and yeah i agree having too many windmills is the problem that's why i want to do solar they are so much more lag friendly as far as i can tell. no moving parts etc but that's the problem. i can't do a solar system large enough with the current rust mechanics

Any massive amount of entities will be laggy. Making a power station isn't gonna exactly be a fun place to fly over. Also, talk to @sharla.windrider. Might be able to give you a more reasonable way to do it.

  3. Adding to that, on every log in page (pictured) it says "wipes when forced" which is what Aurora described.

There is no purge like some servers as a lot of people are still doing last minute things. Adding to networth, trying a new build for the next wipe, conversating, etc.

Edit: You can however have people authorize on your TC's or vice versa and demolish things that way. We just did that to one of our admins base today.

Didn't you already make attempts to prove your points without the use of paragraphs?

You have no structure whatsoever in your appeals. It doesn't even make sense. And it's very hard to follow. Your story seems to be changing from what the chat logs say.

Just poking needlessly at this point.

  5. Just copying my response from an old thread mentioning the same thing.

I play on EU Scourge and am not a fan of mid month wipes. There's still plenty to do. People just tend to go to hard the first week or two and burn themselves out. That's a personal decision. That's also the downside to PvE. PvP will keep you way more active if you plan on playing a whole wipe.

Also, a lot of players switch servers mid wipe as well. So if you're truly bored, can always switch to another server and start over that way.

Edit: Albeit, Pure is a little different but I personally have never had a problem finding something to do for the whole wipe and I've played Pure and Scourge since November. Haven't skipped out on a wipe yet.

The logs falsely stated I stole someone's belongings when I wasn't even online (I can show my computer's history to prove it). When I told the admin it was a false accusation, which it literally was since I didn't do what I was accused and penalized for, she started literally SCREAMING at me loud enough that I had to pull my headphones off and threatening me for contradicting her. This is abusive and inappropriate, especially towards someone who did nothing wrong. Meanwhile, nothing happened to the person who stole my entire inventory including things I bought out of my own pocket in the Rust EZ store, which makes it an actual crime in the real world. I get attacked for doing nothing wrong. Thief gets to go about their day like they did nothing wrong.

https://rustez.com/help/ Even if you go to leadership, based on what I read, gonna have a tough time convincing anyone. But good luck, sincerely.

How do you know it's the vending machines causing the lag? I know custom maps (with custom monuments) was an issue in the past.

It seems to me you just make the conclusion that that is causing your issues.

He's not the only one with the issue. It also only happens when opening the map and that map isn't any different than EU or AU. I can open my map just fine on EU. US, not so much. Was happening last wipe to when I came for a visit.

  8. I've got kinda mixed feelings on this one.

Regarding vending machines in general. I understand. I've had that problem opening the map as well. I came for a visit a wipe or two ago and opened the map and it was just god awful.  BUT limiting what people can build has been addressed multiple times in the past and leadership is pretty opposed to it.

I do think there should be a light rule about it that if reported, an admin could condense the stores down and take out any extras in the instance of having multiple machines but not fully utilized. But if someone has 13 machines and they are being used to max capacity, that's just part of the game. Some people just enjoy running shops.

It's a slippery slope though. Just because you think something is useless to sell, does not mean it's useless to someone else.

I'm generally not a fan of limiting what people can do unless it falls under hindering other players, which this is, so I'm all for it.
