Instead of making one big server, why not making 2 smaller server.

Monuments are overcrowded, so much, people are bothering each other off

 

Having rules about stealing from monuments would also be nice. I understand admins cant be everywhere at the same time. But atleast telling players it's wrong to steal, although it shouldnt be told in the first place.

from playing on the new earth map i feel like it would be cool if possible at all to make a certain area pvp like just having the NYC part pvp, with it basically being a war zone with having destroyed buildings and a pvp like atmosphere. but only 10 scientist max roaming the streets its not much of a challenge besides brad that is taken out anytime he spawns by the people that camp for him constantly. i love scourge for its basically my first server ive joined its the only server ive been on since, ive had all my hours of rust (414) on this server for the reason that i like the community and play style. but after a week into wipe i get somewhat bored because ill do just about everything and have everything so the only thing left for me to do is bother random people. i just feel like it would set a different challenge if there are certain areas/monuments that are PvP. but the areas that are considered to need more skill/better loot to be able to do like M tunnel or places that starting players avoid at first untill they have better weapons. this will make it so the chads dont mow down the bum boys constantly. but if a bum boy wants to take that risk of going into that area then its all on them.  basically i feel like there needs to be more challenge for the people later down the wipe so its not just walking into a playground but instead taking a test for harvard with only a 70 IQ.

Feedback- keep up the good work. been on this server since the beginning pretty much. even with the changes and all the new stuff its been really fun. admin events are also really fun, creative and are one of my fav aspects recently. props to Death and the Admin Team for keeping everything enjoyable and non toxic even with the explosion of new people and conflicting play styles. considering back when i first joined EZ a populated day was like 15 players or something. its been awesome to log in and farm and build when i want to, go out and check out builds and shops, be social and just have fun with randoms.

Suggestions-

BRING POOKIE TOWN BACK- idc if i get 5fps. or if pookie was just a shack that traded 1000 minnows for 1-wood and everyone built around it. i enjoyed having a big town with cool shops and builds and running into people all the time. not that i havent enjoyed this wipe, because i have, but i do.... i do miss trying to run thru Lag city. XD

I also would like to see that Casino make a come back one wipe. that ish was awesome (forgot who built it but the games were hella fun so thanks whoever did that so many wipes ago)

Thanks again to Death and the Admin team. also a big thanks to this community. the community has been freaking amazing. im glad to be apart of it

The higher population and large community on the server is why many play here. On a PvE server with 50+ people in the evenings, you have to expect that multiple players will be doing the same loot run as you. It's a community server: share + compromise goes a long way to keeping it an enjoyable experience.

If solo access to loot is something you enjoy in Rust, I would suggest doing the popular loot runs when fewer people are on. You can also give one lower pop EZ servers a try, or Surge if you want to contest other players for loot.

You are correct; admins can't be everywhere at once. We also need time to check logs and time to confer with other admins (when needed) to handle different issues that come up on the server. Issues may not be resolved in the exact instant a player requests help on the server -- but if you bring it to our attention it will be taken care of.

Thanks, Dab. I didn't do the snowball machines/Pookie Fishing Pool this wipe because there were already a lot of unknowns about using the custom map (i.e. larger map, more lag for players loading it before the builds even go up).

I do agree though. It creates a place for players to be social, gives the server a fun community vibe and helps players meet and group for shenanigans and chat in-game with admins when we're online.  It will be back next wipe.

The casino is something admins could plan as an event again (with bandit wheel) but it's not something we can do and leave open for players outside of an event time.  Players are welcome to do public builds like this however (*hint hint*).

So I thought of a idea of a feature to add. If someones already suggested this then ignore me. I thought that it may be fun to have a dueling system. Something along the lines of a command like /duel (playername) and then the other person would have to accept kinda like a trade with /duel accept. Then those 2 players could PvP until one of them dies and then its over and PvP turns back off for them. I also kinda thought it would be interesting if you did do this to add a sort of betting feature. So if someone accepts a duel it opens a menu like the trading menu and players can bet items for the fight and then when both players select ready it starts. So you could either just have a friendly fight where you dont bet anything or where you could put up items as a bet for the duel. 

Just thought this would be fun for passing time when your not doing anything or just to mess around with your friends.

I approve of this suggestion... if for no other reason than to run around spamming "FINISH HIM" on the soundboard in game.

Kidding aside, that's a very cool idea!

Also an after thought about my previous suggestion. If you did implement this feature I'm sure people could think up some cool ideas for events. I cant think of any at the moment but I'm sure someone would have a good idea

HI Death .

loving all the changes. making the game more enjoyable.

Please, Please, Please, increase the diesel storage capacity in the excavation pit. 

oh and the speed of which it spits out its ores.

their is no pvp, all we do is stand around waiting.. ive even fallen asleep waiting for the conversion. 

waiting around for hours and hours really detracts from the game.  no doubt the pit was made for pvp not pve. :(

Perhaps a few of these things have already been suggested and if so I guess this is just to bump 'em again. A few things:

 

Huge buildings make loading in and moving about in the US Scourge server kinda difficult, and as cool as it is to build giant structures there was this giant tower of wall frames near my house that was either abandoned or never finished. Something specifically for this sort of stuff, maybe an increase in decay rate after a certain amount of inactive time? Because surely I mean someone is going to go offline for a long time, life happens but also they've left a giant, unfinished, physical representation of a lag spike! 

 

I'm new to the whole server, but I really like the zombies. And I'd like there to be random events (that aren't scheduled, like purely RnG) that make hordes larger or more aggressive. Maybe give them the ability to actually walk into player buildings or something. I might be alone in this thought but I really want the zombies to force more cooperation with your neighbors in-game to cull hordes and zombies, like the occasional brad or heli team up. I have no idea how dangerous that would be just server load wise but otherwise the server feels a little empty? Encounters with other peeps aren't as important as the month marches on, and I just feel there is a lot of possibility. 

 

Minecraft is fun with friends.

 

Lastly maybe some balancing of zombie body loot and fishing loot. Maybe it can't be changed or again I've skipped over threads that explain it but progress is quick because of just how much stuff they've got on 'em.

 

If its not obvious I haven't thought these through so much as just been curious about them, as concepts. Just rambling.

 

Other than that nice server yes.

Players are purged after 2 weeks of being offline, assuming there isn't an active player authorized on the cupboard.

Zombies cannot walk off the mesh like some of the newer scientists just yet but it's something we're working on. Also, they're attracted to sound and do often horde naturally based on the terrain. I do like the idea of making it into an event.

We're always working to balance loot and do so with peak counts in mind. Zombies drop the same loot as junk piles to give players an alternative method of farming components and blueprints, as with fishing, when the server is full.

@RakkaDaReal When they're added to the game you'll be the first one behind the wheel.

@Warlord Ubba The long term plan for zombies is to have them scale to their attacker using an item scoring metric associated with the contents of your inventory.

if its suggestion... i would like to ask heli that you take and put in your inventory, when you spawn them, can make it so they take no damage at all? i mean its good for players who are trying heli out without the risk of dying, but the players can still be hit and shot at by npcs, just the heli only, that should not take damage, mostly the mini. If its possible. that way players can and may only have 1 heli, instead of hording 10 or such in their inventory

IDK if this is a bug or an oversight on US Scourge's skin shop, but some of the items are missing. For example, there are only three jacket skins available from shop, but Rust has eleven official skins for the jacket. Another notable example is the bandana mask, missing notable skins such as the skull bandana.

Reason I bring this up is because the server's description says that it has all official skins. I'm sure Death is working on it already, but I thought I'd bring it up.

@Temde If the skins are broken there's nothing we can do but wait. Eventually, with recent changes coming down the ladder from FP, our skin shop will be for workshop skins only as approved skins will be forbidden.

Once that happens we'll start curating our own skins for the shop while also taking submissions. This is of course once the shop is redesigned. 

@Dragoncrusher Blocking player damage from vehicles is on the list. When you claim a helicopter another one takes its place. Having 10 in your inventory does not effect the population.

First time on a scourge | zombie server, its great and the people are super friendly so far :)
I came to suggest an arena of PVP, like the Collosseum of old.
Which is just a combination of a LolRoys and Phat Mans suggestions :D
But with a view to.... well.... be viewed :)
Release the zombie lions!!!! (or bears I guess)

@Bangbug There's plans for automated mini events. For now, admins may opt into doing a PvP event. Pay attention to Discord announcement tab or the announcements section on the forum for event announcements.

On Us Scourge we are working in pvp to the normal rotation, we are playing with the pvp vs pve events ratio's. We want all our players to have fun and with what ever events we run. Feed back on our events is always appreciated and welcomed.

Suggestions: Having means to spend everything we amass. Npc raidaible base would be one great things to do. I have been maxed out for 2 weeks now and there is still one week to go xD. Either that or 2 wipe instead of 1 per month to keep things fresh.
