Respectfully, isn't the use of that language in the first place inherently racist? Using that language willingly is accepting you know what the word means. Choosing to use those words in the first place is racist behaviour regardless of intent.

Being racist implies you are prejudice against someone based on their race. A moment of lapsed judgement doesn't make you inherently racist, as doing something dumb doesn't make you a dumb person. Not all racism bans have racist intentions. So by me saying I don't think they're inherently racist, I'm not referring to those who were being racist, rather the ones who used the word vaguely with no intent to harm, etc. Context matters. A word is not racist, it's how you use it.

I'd like to think a good portion of people who use slurs on the internet are not actually racist, rather go above and beyond for a reaction and/or attention. The idea behind zero tolerance is to ensure there's no confusion as to when and where it's appropriate.

I say keep it the same, but if we could try and bring roadside scientists back that would be great... Not enough animals before, a little bit too many now, no scientists
The lack of scientists is not map-related. Facepunch broke them last update.

As you may recall, we scaled our maps down in December from 3,500 to 3,000 which was a 10%-ish decrease in size. This change had drastic improvements over server and client performance, but with a drastic decrease in space.
Normally, I would slowly increase the map size every month until we find that sweet spot, but in doing so could re-introduce some of the previous issues we've encountered the majority of the year. Had it not been so bad I would say it's worth the risk, but I'm torn between starting to increment in January, or keeping it as-is for at least another solid month of smooth and stable gameplay.
While I would normally start an internal discussion and let the admins responsible for that server decide, I thought it would be better, in this case, to hear it directly from the source. Please let me know if you'd prefer at least another month of stable gameplay, or if you'd prefer to see incremental larger maps every month until we hit the sweet spot in exchange for possible issues we've seen before in the past.
Also, share your opinion in a brief reply if you don't mind. It's not required, though, appreciated!

The biggest concern would be server performance. Having the server constantly create/display this amount of items for hundreds of players will create issues for both performance and the sheer amount of items being made.
We will be writing our own proprietary skin shop in the near future to address this, and we plan to offer every single skin on the workshop at some point!

Every year we upgrade our server hardware to the latest and greatest as well as move the geographical location of our network to achieve the best coverage for the majority of our players. This will take place December 31st at
12:00am EST. (In progress)Typically, our migrations are behind the scenes and are no cause for action. However, the server machines are being moved over to our private network where they'll have access to hundreds of POPs around the world for better connectivity and stability. This means you'll have to search for our servers again to refavorite and repopulate your history tab. Nothing will change besides our IPs.

Nominee's IGN: Majin
Your IGN: Death
Server & Region: Dev Server
I cannot think of anyone better for this reward. A true friend who will spend 48 hours straight playing conan to pimp out your castle, and helping you stage 100 naked dancers in front of @MackFrost's bed so he'd have a surprise when he came back. Someone who once was left alone with an admin in voice chat for 10 minutes and had them questioning their very existence afterwards.
From getting tennis elbow running the cash register on gas station simulator, to spending countless hours slowly fabricating a meme to get a couple seconds of laughter out of someone, majin is by far the most awesome player this community has. Also unrelated in the top 10 guys I'd sleep with if I were gay, just barely out pacing Keanu Reeves.

If this is still happening, download the map manually and place it in steam/steamapp/common/rust/maps and then try and connect.

1) This system isn't really intended to allow you to build out more, rather add a buffer between you and other players. The cupboard should still tell you whether or not you're in the build zone, rather than the extra buffer.
2) We'll continue to work on this to eliminate these issues. The cupboard overlapping issue is top priority.3) See 2.

With the very rapid decline in client and server performance, as well as a highly inflated economy, we've decided to revert the buff to horse dung introduced in the last major update. However, we did leave a little wiggle room for more wiggle room.
In case you missed it, Facepunch buffed dung production from horses by 59900% (.1 to 60) per hour. We've nerfed this back down to .5, which is still 300% faster than before. We hope this will curtail the massive horse farms and put a dent in players' multi-million scrap per day operation.
We absolutely hate having to make such drastic changes from the direction of the game. However, we often have to be the bad guy and adapt changes made to accommodate the scope of our servers. 99% of game changes are geared towards weekly wipe PvP servers, not monthly PvE servers.
As always, we'll continue to monitor the effects these changes make to gameplay and adjust accordingly as we go. We greatly appreciate your understanding and will continue to do our best to make the game playable and enjoyable for all of our players.

There's been an update to address this.
- Vehicles can no longer take damage from other players - Modular vehicle, and all of its components, now properly set ownership when placed on a lift - Modular car lifts can no longer be accessed by unauthorized players (modded) - Camper module now creates a home to the owner, and allows 3 additional homes to be shared to other players (modded)

We're already working on improving the vehicle system. Should have the update out sometime tomorrow.

We've decided to dedicate another month to continue pumping out bug fixes and performance improvements. We've got some juicy updates planned to tackle some of the long-forgotten (or violently ignored) bugs that have been around for a while.
Do you know a bug? Please report it just encase it hasn't been reported already! https://rustez.com/bugs
QuarriesWe're happy to announce public quarries are back to a stable and functional state, better than before might I add. (No thanks to me, but we'll get to that.) You should have no issue gambling your entire fuel stockpile overnight and not coming back to crippling disappointment, and no I don't mean playing RustEZ servers.
We're so confident they're fixed that we went ahead and instanced pumpjacks! More info here:
Stability Issues
It's been a rather shitty experience the past couple of wipes with persistent crashes and performance issues. Thankfully, after weeks of agony, and disciplined procrastination, we've finally identified and patched several instability issues and have had great results with continued stress tests throughout September.
In the process, we've also released hundreds of bug fixes, performance improvements, and QoL changes. We'll have a detailed changelog soon as soon as we release all the queued updates out in the wild.
Ticket Responsiveness
Responses on tickets from me have basically been non-existent and I'm very sorry about that. I'm trying my best to get back into the flow of things but life has not been that great to me lately. With IRL issues, and all my free time spent working on the servers I haven't had much time to sit down and go through them.
Huge thanks to the admins and leads who stepped up to keep tickets flowing during my hiatus. If you haven't received a response from your ticket, make sure it's posted in https://rustez.com/help for the quickest response!
Welcome to the Team
We've brought on a new developer to help us keep performance and stability in check, and allow me to get back to doing what I enjoy, no, not breaking things, but releasing new and exciting features. I've got a lot of QoL features coming soon.
Anyways... Welcome to the team @Raul and sorry in advanced for the lifelong frustration and depression that comes with coding for our servers.
Accepting applications
We're still accepting applications for admin positions. If you're interested send us a quick application at https://rustez.com/apply! Please give us some time to respond to your application.

Virtual pumpjacks allow an infinite amount of players to operate a public pumpjack without interfering with other players. Each player has their own fuel and output containers and their fuel is processed independently of other instances.
This works exactly like our previously released quarry instances. More can be found here:
Why did it take so long to add pumpjacks?
Now that we've polished quarries, we felt it was time to finally add pumpjacks. We plan to add the excavator in the very near future once we feel quarries and pumpjacks are running smoothly without issue.
Can you still buy pumpjacks?
Yes, you can still buy them from our store and place them where you'd like. Nothing will change in that regard. We will be updating the pumpjack level system to remove the maximum level limit, allowing players to stack as many pumpjacks as they'd like. This update should be out sometime this week.
Will public Quarries and Pumpjacks produce the same as private ones?
Public facilities will always produce slower than privately placed quarries and pumpjacks. Currently, we've doubled their production to produce faster for November as a curiosity. See below for more info.
Are quarries and pumpjacks safe to use?
As of right now, we're very confident they're 100% fixed and have not had any incidents for several weeks. I cannot express how sorry we are for the consistent issues over the past month with fuel and output disappearing. All should be well now!
Are current process rates permanent?
We've currently increased the process rate of all public quarries and pumpjacks for the duration of this month as a courtesy to players for last month's issues. They will be cut in half in November following the forced wipe.
